Primary Responsibilities :

Bozzuto Management Company is now seeking a staff accountant to join our growing team! The staff accountant will focus on financial statement preparation, monthly reporting packages and closings.

This is an ideal role for a self-starter, eager to join a fast-paced team.

As Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities include :

• Recording and analysis of monthly revenue transactions
• Ensuring that all monthly management fees are accurately captured in Yardi
• Recording and analysis of monthly expenses by entity
• Approve expenses for payment
• Enter cash receipts and post payment applications
• ACH payroll and various rebills from properties
• Prepare the month end financial statements for the BMC entity
• Upload Concur activity to Yardi
• Analyze and review concur activity, and reach out to respective team members for resolution for discrepancies
• Assistance with coordinating budgeting and forecasting activities related to management fees with SVPs and Operations MDs.
• Maintain system attributes related to the reporting set up for various BMC entities
• Complete financial package for yellow book reporting
• Complete all tax filings
• Assist with audit preparation
• Assistance with testing, development, and implementation of various Yardi enhancement initiatives.
• Research and analyze material variances.
• Providing periodic status updates on ongoing initiatives to Senior management.
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects / tasks as needed.

What You Bring to Us :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred
• At least 3-4 years of general ledger and financial statement experience
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred
• Must be able to resolve issues independently or collaboratively in timely manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present information to various levels of the organization
• Solid analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Experience driving cross functional projects
• Proven ability to build strong relationships within and across teams.
• Team player who can manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
