We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Director, Third Party Manufacturing to lead Peloton's contract manufacturing partnerships and ensure the highest standards of performance and efficiency.

This pivotal role will be responsible for managing relationships with our contract manufacturing partners, optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high quality to support Peloton's growth objectives.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Strategic Partnership Management :
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with contract manufacturing partners, aligning their capabilities with Peloton's product quality, innovation, and sustainability standards.

Regularly assess supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, quality acceptance rate, and sustainability metrics, to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with Peloton's objectives.

  • Operations Oversight :
  • Provide leadership and guidance to contract manufacturing partners, overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to Peloton's production schedules, quality specifications, and cost objectives while prioritizing sustainability initiatives.

Monitor KPIs to drive operational efficiency, by increasing throughput while decreasing labor costs and material costs. Drive operational excellence across the whole supply chain.

  • Quality Assurance :
  • Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures and standards at contract manufacturing facilities to uphold Peloton's commitment to delivering best-in-class fitness products.

Track and analyze KPIs related to continuous manufacturing practices, including scrap rate, first time through, first pass yield and drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

  • Performance Management :
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the sustainability performance of contract manufacturing partners, conducting regular reviews and audits to drive accountability and drive sustainability excellence.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration :
  • Work collaboratively with Peloton's Operations Program Management and Strategy to integrate sustainability considerations into contract manufacturing operations and broader supply chain processes.

Utilize KPIs such as sustainable sourcing practices, transportation emissions, and product life cycle assessments to optimize supply chain sustainability, mitigate environmental risks, and promote responsible sourcing and manufacturing practices.

  • Risk Management :
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in contract manufacturing operations, developing proactive strategies and contingency plans to mitigate risks and enhance sustainability performance.

Monitor KPIs related to environmental compliance, regulatory requirements, and sustainability certifications to ensure alignment with Peloton's sustainability goals and promote a culture of environmental responsibility.

  • Talent Development :
  • Provide mentorship and support to our internal and contract manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in performance and drive success.

Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to leverage best practices and drive continuous improvement in sustainable manufacturing practices and environmental stewardship.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and operations management roles, with a focus on contract manufacturing partnerships in Taiwan

Experience in the segment of heavy mechanical processes, including stamping, die casting, welding, and assembly

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with external partners and stakeholders

In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, in the consumer electronics, appliances or fitness equipment industry

Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles

Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin

Excellent negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25-50%)
