We're hiring a Machine Operator for our client, a finishing materials supplier, at their facility in Kernersville, NC! This is a long-term temporary opportunity with a pay rate of $17.
00 per hour and a 12-Hour shift schedule (6 : 00pm-6 : 00am, Monday- Thursday). Candidates for this role must be will to work up to 52 hours per week.
The Machine Operator will work within the airbag department, and is responsible for setting up machines according to specs, and setting up materials and processes to ensure continuous production.

Responsibilities :
- Maintain warehouse communication with lead person about frame requirements to ensure continuous production
- Set up machine by process specs unless otherwise directed
- Ensure that all controls are set properly
- Maintain proper paperwork on work orders, document and report any uncoated fabric quality problems
- Maintain housekeeping to ensure safe and orderly workplace
- Use scrapers and solvent to clean out rubber trough after processing in rubber areas
- Use rags, scrapers and solvent to clean rollers and machinery in all areas
- Use proper PPE as required for the solvents being used
- Inspect fabric and note any defects
- Cut swatches for lab testing
- Keep sufficient chemicals in coating trough at all times, and keep duster loaded with sufficient levels of talc powder on airbag frame
- Properly ticket and wrap each roll processed
- Make safety checks to ensure machine is OK to start unit
- Keep track of material as it is proceeded checking quality during processing
- Wrap roll and send to packing station with proper piece ticket after doffing
- Report any quality concerns
- Fill Out Production report accurately
- Enter computer transactions for production run
