Clearance Requirement : Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearanceTravel Requirements : NegligibleLocation : Norfolk, VA SUMMARY : WR’s GeoNavigation Technologies Division has an opportunity for a Software Engineer, Principal for a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) software engineer for the design of GPU intensive Geospatial / Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using advanced programming languages.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following : · Improve and develop new and existing software stack.

• Design and implement highly optimized software libraries, tools, and Application Programming Interface (APIs) for real-time computer graphics and general purpose computing.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to review the spec and verify correctness and efficiency of the implementation.· Communicate with game studios, critically analyze current real-time rendering, content creation pipelines, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to find areas for new development.
• Analyze runtime performance data collected. Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience : · Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer / Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related scientific discipline.
• Fifteen (15)+ years of professional experience.· Background in Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) programming.· On a limited basis - able and willing to support division travel to trade shows and customer sites.
• The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following : Employment history;
