Description
We are seeking a Safety Manager to effectively maintain and improve our safety programs. The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all DOSH, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Fire Department regulations.
In this position, you will be the point of contact for safety matters companywide.
Qualifications for a Safety Manager Include :
- Proven experience within a safety department and with State Department of Labor & Industries
- Full understanding of DOSH, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Fire Department regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Responsibilities of a Safety Manager Include :
- Performing safety walkthrough inspections and audits
- Leading safety meetings
- Sharing safety information companywide to ensure proper safety techniques and processes are followed
- Performing new hire orientation safety training and developing training material
- Assisting in and documenting accident and near-miss investigations and claims
- Assisting in inspections performed by regulatory agencies
- Maintaining current knowledge of safety regulations, guidelines, standards and processes, including but not limited to DOSH, OSHA, DOT, EPA and regulations relating to safe work practices
- Maintaining an electronic database of safety related policies, procedures, reports, accidents, claims and audits
- Ordering and issuing PPE companywide
