Responsibilities

The Vice President will be a key member of the Operations team in the Information Solutions department. The Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the department’s budget and related projects, initiatives and workstreams designed to transform the budget function, with an emphasis on identifying continuous improvement opportunities and process development.

The candidate will work closely with other Oaktree colleagues in FP&A, Corporate Services, Tax, Accounting, Comp Operations and IT, along with external service providers to lead efforts to enhance department budget operations.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Partner with department leads in ensuring strong financial stewardship through budgeting, financial forecasting, department-level spend management, trend analysis and various ad hoc analyses;
  • Oversee and manage the development of the annual budgeting and modeling tools;
  • Improve decision-making by analyzing the financial and non-financial impact of various business and / or strategic alternatives;
  • Drive improvement within the Information Solutions department and the Finance organization by implementing process enhancements and new technologies related to budget and vendor management;
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, and provide recommendations for corrective actions to achieve targets;
  • Understand the components, drivers and evolution of the department’s expenses by identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;
  • Analyze the profitability of department’s business including expense allocations, margin metrics and growth opportunities;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners; and
  • Mentor and provide guidance to direct reports and other team members to ensure high performance and accountability

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Finance, FP&A, Accounting or consulting experience;
  • Expertise at preparing and reviewing complex financial models;
  • Advanced understanding of budget management and forecasting;
  • Experience in asset management or alternative asset management is a plus;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data;
  • Ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, while independently driving projects to completion;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint;
  • Experience with Planning, Reporting, Power BI and visualization systems required; and
  • Familiarity with Workday, SAP BPC or other financial planning and analysis software is a plus.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, a Master’s degree is a plus
  • Finance / Accounting certifications such as CPA or CFA is a plus

Base Salary Range

$150,000- $200,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a and a flexible work arrangement.

The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and / or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
