Apogee is actively seeking a part-time Enterprise Architect III supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) at Ft. Meade, MD .

What you will be doing :

• Supporting senior leaders and providing architectural recommendations to meet strategic objectives for future IT system integration
• Collaborating with Nuclear Command, Control, Communications (NC3) Enterprise Architecture teams to give input to capture user requirements and use cases for improvement of the NC3 Digital Mission Engineering Environment (NDMEE)
• Producing and publishing baseline and incremental NC3 system of systems architectures to support and update information hosted in enterprise digital engineering tools
• Developing detailed architecture artifacts for subsets of the NC3 Enterprise, as needed - All View (AV), Operational View (OV), and System View (SV) artifacts
• Ingesting, re-formatting, and publishing architectures using validated and verified authoritative data to support and update information hosted in digital engineering tools

Citizenship : Must be a US citizen

Clearance : Must have and be able to maintain a TS w / SCI eligibility

Education : Master’s degree in one of the following fields : Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline

Years of experience : 10 years of experience in working with NC2 capabilities, procedures, and platforms. Experience should include :

• Experience with DOD communications architecture and systems
• Experience developing architecture artifacts using the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
• Experience establishing system information requirements and designing architecture to support present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
• Ability to work well within a team and to execute tasks independently
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong command of MS Office suite tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience :

• Certifications : DODAF or TOGAF certification
• Education and Experience :
• Working-level proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Modeling tools such as Cameo, Magic Draw, and SparxEA (desired)

Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves.

Regular part-time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $79-$93 / hour across the U.S. There is a different range applicable for specific work locations.

Base pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.
