ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Soldering, fabrication, and installation of wiring harnesses using special fine wires (up to AWG 34 -40)
- Troubleshooting of basic electrical systems
- Mechanical assembly of complex systems per documentation with minimal supervision
- Use of epoxy sealants and encapsulants in assembly
- Vacuum leak test of vacuum chambers and manifolds
- Data collection logging and analysis of results in qualifying system performance
- Creation of assembly documentation and processes.
- Training of other Lab Technicians
- Maintenance of workstation, equipment, tools, and materials.
- Provide feedback and actively collaborate with other departments to ensure continuous improvement of processes efficiency and products.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Education Requirements : High School Diploma, Trade / Technical School
- Minimum Experience : 3-5 years electro-mechanical assembly in STEM field or manufacturing environment
- Detailed-orientated work and strong problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy, punctuality, good team, and interpersonal skills. Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven experience of soldering job role in electronics manufacturing, strong knowledge of soldering techniques and tools.
- General experience working with laboratory hand and power tools and facilities.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes including wiring, soldering, electronics.
- Ability to work from electrical schematics, mechanical assembly prints, and work instructions.
- This position requires excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, precision, and patience to work with small parts and special fine wires.
- Experience with vacuum pumps, vacuum leak detectors, handling cryogenics liquids instrumentation is plus for this position, but not required.
Will be trained on the job.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications is a must. Experience with 2D assembly drawings and 3D CAD model software is a plus.
