Kellanova is looking for a Director of Portfolio and Shopper Marketing to oversee North America portfolio of brands for the Away From Home division.
This leader owns the portfolio and shopper strategy and will oversee a team that brings Kellanovas iconic brands to life in the Food Service and Small Format channels.
This Chicago-land hybrid role partners cross functionally with senior leaders in Away From Home, across North Americas brand category organizations, and with Center Marketing to be the strategic marketing voice internally and externally.
As an integral part of the Away From Home Marketing Leadership Team, you will shape our success in these channels. This business services 20+ segments in a highly complex route-to-market.
Your consumer expertise in immediate consumption, coupled with a brand-building DNA, plays a critical role in our journey to be the worlds best snacks-led powerhouse.
A Taste of What Youll Be Doing
- Strategic Goal Setting P&L accountability with appropriate top and bottom-line goal setting. Create and manage appropriate input goals across assortment, price, availability, and customer engagement.
- Consumer Insights Partner with insights & analytics to uncover consumer insights for the Away From Home channels, portfolio expansion or changes.
- Strategic Vision Create vision for long range assortment plan. Develop specific business strategies and create / manage an annual and 3-year plan with the alignment of key cross-functional partners.
- Driving Innovation and Portfolio Growth Demonstrate and inspire consistent curiosity and high standards to continuously evaluate new opportunities and improvements across our portfolio.
This supports sustainable long-term operating profit growth.
Expert Leadership Support sales leadership with strategic customer engagements and trade relation support by serving as the resident expert for these product categories.
Lead and mentor individuals to create a high performing team.
Were Looking for Someone With
- Bachelors Degree required in business, marketing, or related commercial field. MBA preferred.
- Strong marketing and / or general management commercial experience in CPG environment. B2B channel experience preferred.
- Highly analytical business leader who can drive significant value in the P&L.
- Experience building and managing high performing teams and cross-functional leadership. Adept at working in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
- Ability to operate tactically and strategically. An ability to flawlessly multi-task and thrive under pressure and deadlines.
- Expert in utilizing a number of different methodologies to understand consumers, identify opportunity areas and drive cohesive experiences.
- Demonstrates excellent written, verbal skills and technology skills. Experience authoring documents and detailed operational plans supported with key insights to lead effective decision making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels including with senior executives.
