VP Risk and Compliance at AgTrust Farm Credit

About the role :
As VP of Risk and Compliance in our Fort Worth corporate office, you will provide strategic design, development, organization, implementation, and operation of the Association's risk and compliance management program.
The big picture :
You will participate in the development of the Association's plans and programs as a strategic partner, particularly from the perspective of risk and compliance.
You will ensure processes and controls are designed to ensure sound business practices and comply with applicable laws and regulations governing all aspects of the Association and align with the Association's risk appetite.

Day-to-day, you will :
- Work closely with the Chief Risk Officer, within the enterprise risk management framework, to advance the safety and soundness of the Association.
- Perform risk assessments and analyses ensuring customer / owner value is responsibly enhanced and protected.
- Manage the Association's business risk insurance, including the relationship with FCCS.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Association staff that facilitate a cooperative approach to the Association's risk management efforts.
- Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of risk management and credit concepts, as well as Association products and services.
- Assist the Board and the CEO in ensuring sound governance practices are in place and functioning properly.
- Monitor regulatory changes and program compliance.
- Oversee the annual Nominating Committee and Board election process.
- Oversee the Association's standard of conduct processes.
- Oversee the Association's Whistleblower program.
- Consult with legal counsel as appropriate.
Your qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field and five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible financial services experience in risk and compliance management, with three (3) or more years of supervisory / management experience.
CPA, CIA, or similar certification in regulatory and institutional policy compliance is preferred. Experience in legal matters involving policy and regulation is preferred.
Specialized knowledge of banking administration and accounting practices; financial analysis and reporting; and applicable Federal, State, and Farm Credit Administration (FCA) regulations.
Specialized knowledge of compliance and risk management practices. Specialized knowledge of accounting / financial systems, and accounting / finance principles.
