Our Fremont, CA client seeks a TIG Welder. This is a Contract to Hire Opportunity
Hours : Monday through Friday 6 : 30am 3 : 00pm with 1 2 -hour meal break.
Salary Range : $32 / hr $35 / hr to start depending on previous experience
ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Proficient with TIG / GTAW welding-Majority of work will be fusion TIG welding SST
Attention to detail is critical
Needs to be able to read & follow drawing / blueprints.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.
Ability to take direction from supervisor and fellow experienced welders.
DAILY TASKS :
Must be familiar with metallurgy, primarily stainless steel.
Must know the proper weld settings for welding various materials along with filler rod
selection.
Must be able to produce vacuum tight welds in hard-to-reach areas.
Ability and understanding of how to identify the proper order of operations (identifying the
main datum point / sequence of hole penetration etc...)
Education & Experience :
- Associates Degree or certification from a welding training program.
- At least three to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
- Must have three to five years’ experience with TIG welding.
- Vacuum experience a plus.
