Position Summary :

Assists in planning, organizing, developing, and delivering Physical Therapy (PT) Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Therapy or Administrator.

Qualifications :

• High school education or equivalent
• Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in all work-related situations
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask
• Confidentiality required!

Responsibilities :

• Initiates individual restorative programs for residents in accordance with resident plan of care and under the direction of the Therapy Director
• Assists in developing and maintaining physical therapy standards
• Assist in transporting residents to and from physical therapy rooms / areas
• Observes and reports on resident’s responses to treatments.
• Properly demonstrates exercises and stretches encouraging participation and reporting to Therapist on any issues
• Meets all physical requirements of the position (Pick up / put away equipment such as : weights, barbells, medicine balls, etc.

transport patients to and from therapy areas, assists with all therapy activities as needed)
