About the Position :
The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Financial Analyst in our Store Support Center (099) in Greensboro, NC. The Corporate FP&A Financial Analyst will support financial forecasting and budgeting activities, as well as develop analyses to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
A successful candidate will be highly analytical while also demonstrating a natural curiosity to generate actionable insights.
Position reports to the Manager of Corporate FP&A and works closely with teams across the organization as a trusted business partner on a daily basis.
What You'll Do :
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting for internal use by decision makers, including Senior Leadership team.
- Analyze financial and business information to identify underlying business drivers and trends to deliver improved sales and profitability.
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, as well as review and provide commentary on month end actuals.
- Develop cross-functional partnerships to gather relevant information for financial analysis, functional cost management, and ROI / business case evaluations.
- Effectively communicate financial information across the organization.
- Drive implementation of financial planning best practices.
- Develop financial projections and build financial models.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- One to three years of relevant professional experience in the field of finance.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills with ability to distill large amounts of data into meaningful business insights.
- High level of intellectual curiosity.
- Aptitude for change and finding process efficiencies.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Excel and financial software applications, such as Oracle EPBCS and OneStream.
