Position Summary

The Vendor Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that our merchandise vendor partners comply with our Vendor Routing Guidelines.

This role involves generating and analyzing data, facilitating communication between our merchant teams, stores, third-party logistics provider, and vendors, and proactively addressing compliance issues to maintain smooth operations.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Take ownership of day-to-day business operations, addressing and resolving issues independently. Partner with relevant teams to escalate and resolve more complex challenges when necessary.
  • The Vendor Compliance Analyst is also responsible for maintaining vendor shipping performance reporting and analysis, identifying quick wins and opportunities for improvement.
  • The Vendor Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that vendors and merchants meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • The Vendor Compliance Analyst is responsible for inspecting vendor shipping practices through both reporting and onsite visits to store locations and third-party logistics providers (3PL).

This ensures that vendors are shipping in a consolidated manner to drive cost savings.

Work with vendors to further consolidate shipments, optimizing the number of units per carton and reducing the overall number of shipments.

This will drive down shipping costs and improve logistics efficiency.

  • Regularly evaluates vendor performance in alignment with PGATSS initiatives, focusing on initial fill rates and backorder management, and conducts routine scorecard reviews with vendors and merchants to ensure ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure data is accurate, complete, and up to date by helping implement data quality controls and validation procedures.
  • Create data-driven presentations aimed at crafting compelling narratives that empower merchandising leaders to make well-informed and educated decisions.
  • Acts as the initial point of contact for "Problem POs" at both the 3PL and store locations. Partners with relevant business units to develop both short-term resolutions and long-term solutions.
  • Offer insights and suggestions for process improvements on both the vendor and PGATSS sides to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage personal time and priorities, contribute to broader projects, and understand the interconnected impacts on the business.
  • Responsible for testing, implementing, and supporting technology / business solutions to maintain efficiency and ensure business continuity.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training new Associates on best practices, system updates, and any changes related to merchandising processes.
  • Enhance the vendor onboarding process to ensure that all new vendors are fully aware of PGATSS expectations and standards, reducing the learning curve and improving initial performance.
  • Provide ongoing training sessions for vendors on PGATSS processes and expectations, ensuring that all parties are aligned on performance standards and best practices.
  • Must be flexible, willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required :

Communication : Candidates must have strong listening and interpersonal skills. They must possess good verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate cross-functionally.

Candidates communicate expectations and standards to execute company programs.

Computer : Candidates must possess advanced computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.

Ability to learn Workforce Management System end to end.

  • Accountability : Candidates must possess the skills to lead without authority when working with Stores on variances in actual vs forecast and labor optimization.
  • Business Acumen : Ability to quickly learn business acumen with appropriate training.
  • Organization : Candidates must be able to organize multiple priorities to ensure execution.
  • Education / Experience : The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent work experience.
  • Customer Service : Candidate must have a customer first mindset to be successful in this role.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to stand and / or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and / or standing at the desk is optional.
  • Flexibility to work extended and varying hours as needed.

Travel :

20% travel is required.
