StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Consultant to join our Economic Litigation Consulting practice.
Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for performing economic analyses associated with client engagements. You will add value to our team by having some previous experience with financial and economic consulting including labor disputes within the litigation environment.
This position requires you to be a person with strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform economic consulting services as it relates to labor economics (wage & hour disputes), complex antitrust, class-action and commercial litigation matters supporting expert witness opinions in different court venues.
- Organize, manipulate and analyze large and / or unstructured datasets utilizing statistical software
- Work with Management to execute priorities related to client engagements including drafting background sections of expert reports and performing financial analysis, creating exhibits, and attending meetings with clients.
- Accountable for consistent, high-quality work product prepared on a timely basis.
- Execute multiple priorities and projects daily.
- Ensure all quality control processes are followed and are maintained on engagements; focused on the creation of work product.
- Draft reports noting findings including, but not limited to the preparation of tables, exhibits and data visualizations
- Attend client and internal team meetings to understand client objectives and requirements, leading to the execution of well formulated work product.
- Regularly communicate with engagement team to ensure appropriate expectations are set and are communicated with clients to ensure overall satisfaction.
- Participate in marketing and business development initiatives developing and maintaining client relationships through the performance of high-quality work product.
- Foster a positive, efficient, and team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or statistics. Advanced degree is preferred.
- 0-2 years total experience within economic consulting and / or labor economics disputes
- Proficiency with statistical tools (i.e., STATA, Visual Basic, or SAS) and applying them to complex dispute matters.
- Professional demeanor with excellent oral communication skills and proficient in technical writing.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and perform technical projects, manage client expectations and relationships.
- Excellent prioritization skills.
- Commitment to exemplary client service delivery.
Desirable Qualifications
- Advanced degree in economics, statistics, or finance
- Knowledge of programming languages Python and R
- Professional designation(s)
