About the Role :
- The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide group and family therapies. Counselors will treat a selected caseload of female or male clients suffering from behavioral health and addiction-related issues.
- Under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Managers, Substance Abuse Coaches will lead peer group programming and participate in multi-disciplinary treatment.

What We Offer :Job Qualifications :
- Associates or Bachelor level degree in Psychology, social work, or related field preferred
- Certification Required : CADAC II, CADAC IV, CADAC V, & or Peer Recovery
- Must be participate in weekly supervision with Clinical Manager
- At least two years prior experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, with residential treatment experience preferred.
- Requires knowledge of the impact of the disease process and human behavior
- Group facilitation experience preferred.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and / or weekends.
- In-depth knowledge of various counseling approaches
- Skill in working with a variety of cultures.
- Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies.
- Ability to provide necessary self-care.
- Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinical staff.
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
- Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skill
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR.
- Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provision of group therapy
- Timely and complete medical record documentation
- Participation in working with clients' families to create strong support networks and to promote healthy relationships while in Treatment
- Participation in peer-review process
- Adherence to facility policy and procedures, State & Federal law, and Joint Commission accreditation regulations and standards
- Implementation of relapse prevention, skills development, and evidence-based practices within group therapy.
- Weekly Peer Recovery sessions with clients
Compensation : $18.00-$21.00 / hr
