The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Progressive Care Unit is a 32-bed unit caring for adult surgical patients. The unit offers three levels of care : Floor, Telemetry, and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC).
Our patient population is diverse and leads to a variety of skills to learn. Our unit works together as a team to provide excellent care to patients and their families.

Assists in developing staff schedules. Observes patients and ensures maximum nursing care is being provided; determines the need for additional or modified services.
Ensures established unit priorities are implemented and makes some decisions regarding patient care. Participates in patient care conferences, quality assurance committees and in-service presentations.
