Apply now and embark on this exciting journey with us! State Fund’s Enterprise Procurement unit is hiring a Procurement Manager- Complex Contracting who will report directly to our VP of Enterprise Procurement.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of specialists who are responsible for negotiating contracts for our most critical suppliers.

Our Procurement team operates out of designated offices in Pleasanton and Sacramento, CA and requires occasional travel. Main Responsibilities :

  • Oversee a team of specialists in procuring products and services critical to our success while ensuring top quality and value
  • Lead the most complex contract negotiations, mitigating potential security and privacy risks
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership across the organization
  • Effectively communicate the contracting process to senior leadership and executive team
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and professional development opportunities for the team

Desired Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams with a strong track record of achieving department objectives. Experience with direct reports a plus.
  • Experienced leader who can successfully build team engagement while fostering high performance
  • Working knowledge of procurement fundamentals and contract law and ability to transfer recommendations into business strategy
  • Excellent analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving abilities
  • Practical knowledge of third-party risk management programs

Working Conditions

Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs. Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment.

Special Requirements

Selected candidate(s) hired may be required to attend in-person Onboarding at our Vacaville office. Expenses for Onboarding attendance would be paid by State Fund.
