EDUCATION :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record; must adhere to Midland ISD's vehicle safety and use program
EXPERIENCE :
- EPA Certified for Refrigerant Level I & II
- Two years prior experience as a HVAC Mechanical or refrigeration repairman
Position Function / Purpose
To assess the HVAC Mechanical or Refrigeration needs of an assigned job and perform the
assigned repair, modification or installation in a safe and expeditious manner.
Essential Functions
1. Work directly with the HVAC Mechanical Foreman in scheduling the repairs and modifications of all district
mechanical property and equipment
2. Communicate with administrators in order to coordinate schedules for the least amount of disturbance
3. Provide the skills required to perform periodic maintenance and repair on various standard HVAC mechanical
4. Provide the skills needed to assist the Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing Departments in various types of repairs
units, pumps, blowers, valves, controls, etc.
5. Provide the skills to trouble shoot maintenance problems which occur with HVAC equipment and Controls
6. Have the ability to follow instructions and be flexible to changes in work assignments
7. Other duties as assigned by F.C.C.S. Supervisor, HVAC Foreman or Executive Director of SPS
Qualification Requirements
Special Knowledge / Skills :
1 . Specific knowledge of HVAC Mechanical and refrigeration repairs and repair techniques including maintenance and new construction
2. General mechanical knowledge and aptitude
3. Project a positive attitude among other district personnel and demonstrate a willingness to work
4. General background in general HVAC Control Systems and Energy Management Control Systems
5. Be able to work independently, self-motivated
