The Burlington Pickleball Complex is a top-tier sports, recreation, and entertainment hub dedicated to enhancing the health and economic growth of Burlington, NC.

The Events Team Member will be responsible for a variety of duties dependent upon the need for the day, while providing participants, members and / or guests an excellent experience in every aspect.

Examples of Duties

  • Greet members and guests, offering information and wayfinding assistance, while helping with membership package and court rental sales.
  • Provide courteous, first-class service and be knowledgeable on various topics such as transportation and restaurant recommendations.
  • Maintain general knowledge of program options and facility events while recording waivers and event details.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with guest and team member information while responding to guest concerns and directing them to the appropriate manager for resolution.
  • Handle event setup and takedown, and assist with event and parking operations during major events.
  • Manage office supply inventory and reorder as needed, while ensuring the correct equipment is available for all games and events.
  • Gain proficiency in membership and facility scheduling software while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor play areas, including turf and courts, while keeping your supervisor informed of any issues and updates.
  • Complete and file necessary paperwork, assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment, and carry out special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS :

  • Must have general knowledge of sports and events with a strong passion for serving.
  • Skilled in administrative tasks as well as demonstrated capacity to quickly master new software programs and operate electric scoreboards.
  • Keen attention to detail and strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in multitasking, coupled with experience in customer service, leadership, and organization, all while exhibiting an action-oriented mindset and a strong commitment to efficiency.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational abilities.
  • Must demonstrate respect and friendliness, collaborate effectively with others, and take personal initiative to enhance the team and venue.
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while multitasking, prioritizing, and staying calm under pressure.

Supplemental Information

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer
  • Facility has intermittent noise
