Our client, a Jacksonville, Florida, law firm, seeks a family attorney to work on-site (with potentially some flexibility after a probationary period) who can assist their clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues surrounding family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence.
The ideal candidate should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and time-sharing and effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations.

Member of The Florida Bar, in good standing (required)
Experience Requirements - Family Law Attorney
- A minimum of five (5) years of Florida family law litigation experience
- Or : 2-3 years of Florida litigation (required), coupled with 1-2 years of family law experience
Responsibilities - Family Law Attorney
- Provide practical and accurate legal analysis, strategy, and representation in family law cases.
- Effective court appearances, hearings, motions, and mediation skills.
- Settlement negotiation skills.
- Skilled negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations.
- Work closely with partners, paralegals, legal assistants and other staff to ensure swift and effective action through the litigation process.
- Adept with client management, discovery, drafting pleadings, hearings, mediations, depositions, phone conferences, research, and professional correspondence / email communications.
Compensation
Compensation is according to experience level, writing ability, legal background, references and academic achievements.
Base salary range : $90,000-140,000 annually, plus progressive incentive compensation options to reach your overall financial goals.

In addition to base salary and incentives, full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, ensuring you feel valued and cared for.

Health, dental, vision, and disability insurance. The firm pays 100% of the employee premium for the base health insurance option and disability insurance.
Employees may elect to pay for an alternative health plan, dental or vision insurance, or to add dependents at employee expense.
- Paid time off begins accruing on the first day of employment and increases with seniority.
- A generous number of holidays.
- A 401(k) plan with a 3% employer contribution after a waiting period.
- Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are provided through in-house training, as well as by reimbursement.
