Import Specialist Onsite in Costa Mesa $36 / hour Manufacturing

Location : Costa Mesa, CA (On-site)

Salary : $35 / hour

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM (occasional after-hours responses for urgent requests)

Duration : Temp-to-Hire

Parking : Parking lot available in front of the office

Position Overview :

A leading company in the import and light manufacturing sector is seeking a detail-oriented Import Specialist to manage the importation and sourcing of components from international factories to domestic customers.

This temp-to-hire role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple tasks with precision.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage product flow from overseas factories to domestic customers.
• Oversee the importation and sourcing of products from different parts of Asia.
• Handle 30+ orders simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Perform 90% paperwork and 10% hands-on tasks, including light assembly and lifting boxes up to 40 lbs.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth packaging and assembly processes.
• Ensure all time schedules are met and every detail is accurate, especially regarding numbers.
• Adapt quickly to new concepts and tasks, thriving in a demanding position without requiring hand-holding.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Strong proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks.
• Excellent customer-facing skills.
• Must be local to Costa Mesa and available to work on-site every day.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs, up to 4 feet high.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Career-focused with a desire for stability in a small company setting.
• Must be reliable and willing to help out wherever needed.
