Overview
The Recreation Attendant will assist with all duties pertaining to the Fitness Center, Pool, Resort Rascals, Naturalist program, and other recreational activities.
The Recreation Attendant will also be responsible for reservations for the excursion boat. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Provide hospitable service and assistance to our guests in accordance with all of The Stonewall Resort’s customer service standards.
Carry out the policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and a teamwork atmosphere.
Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Perform all duties in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand. Maintain uniform and grooming standards in employee handbook and departmental training.
Have the Fitness Area ready for operation five minutes prior to opening. Daily check of all outdoor equipment at the boat house and yard games for proper safety Full knowledge of telephone answering, fitness equipment, pool, Resort Rascals, Naturalist program, recreational activities, excursion boat and locker room procedures.
Provide guests with general information (directions, hours of operation, etc). To be able to operate and understand the Micros System.
Assist guests with all requests pertaining to Fitness Center, excursion boat and recreational activities. To be knowledgeable with all services within the hotel.
Follow procedures for closing the Fitness Area and securing all merchandise. Ensuring all areas are cleaned and stowed away.
Assist in operations recreational activities and team building events. Ensure a clean, safe and orderly work area. Attend meetings as required.
To include but not limited to : CEO, Safety & Culture Committee Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate supervisor.
Develop staffing to the department standards. Assist manager in scheduling with and understanding of the systems the property uses as they pertain to scheduling, attendance and recruiting.
Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Pleasant speaking voice, excellent verbal communication skills. Professional and polished customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills Must be able to work independently. Energetic personality. Must be able to work with children.
