Job Description :
Pay Range $60hr - $77.79hr
- Work closely with Supplier Engineers, Design, Manufacturing, and project teams to implement performance, quality, capacity, and cost improvements.
- Select the right process and suppliers for the part, considering long term fit and total cost of ownership.
- Source, select and qualify alternate component technologies and supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, streamlining of supply chain, and commodity strategy.
- Acts as technical interface between component / production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.
- Drive to closure supplier variances from symptom through root cause analysis to corrective action, including succinct.
- CAPA / SCAR documentation; Evaluate and qualify supplier requested material, design and process changes.
- Maintain key metrics for the team and suppliers, and continually drive for timely achievement of those metrics.
Work Experience / Educational Background :
- Electrical or Electro-optical background preferable.
