The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Human Resources Assistant .
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Human Resources (OHR) and is the first point of contact for our office.
The incumbent will sit at and manage our reception area and serves as our primary customer service representative responsible for providing accurate responses to routine questions and providing administrative support essential to the efficient operations of the office.
This role requires you to be in the office from Monday to Friday. Telework is not available for this position.
Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Conduct reference checks.
- Prepare a variety of documents and correspondence.
- Maintain a filing system, receive and rout incoming / outgoing mail.
- Enter information into electronic information systems; and assist with special projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
DS-7 : Two (2) years of general work experience performing duties related to providing administrative and clerical support, preferably in a human resources environment.
Incumbent must be highly confidential and organized, have strong attention to detail, be able to multitask and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word. This role requires you to be in the office from Monday to Friday.
Telework is not available for this position.
DS-8 : Three (3) years of general work experience performing duties related to providing administrative and clerical support, one (1) year of experience must have been performed in a human resources environment.
Incumbent must be highly confidential and organized, have strong attention to detail, be able to multitask and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
