Location : Government Publishing Office, Washington, DC. Job Title : Human Capital Assistant Job Type : Full-Time Duties : Provide administrative support for onboarding and offboarding, including new employee orientation, preparation of offer letters, and processing of personnel actions.
Coordinate entry-on-duty (EOD) dates for new hires and follow up with candidates on pre-employment forms, reference checks, and security package requirements.
Maintain accurate records in the HC Dashboard and electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPFs), supporting the Talent Acquisitions and Transactions teams as needed.
Assist in processing benefits eligibility determinations, service computation dates, and updating personnel information in the National Finance Center’s (NFC) payroll / personnel systems.
Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries regarding application processes, recruitment statuses, and onboarding requirements.
Requirements : Experience with USA Staffing and related HR systems, including NFC, eOPF, EmpowHR, and GRB. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge of federal HR procedures, coding personnel actions, and service computation requirements. Minimum Knowledge and Skills : Understanding of federal recruitment, onboarding, classification, and pay-setting processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to inquiries and support a collaborative team environment.
Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion. Powered by JazzHR
