What You'll Do
The Planner / Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the planning activities for three production lines within our industrial manufacturing operation.
This role requires a deep understanding of production processes, materials management, and analytical capabilities to ensure efficient and effective scheduling.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- Production Planning : Develop and maintain production schedules for three manufacturing lines to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Material Planning : Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components required for production, taking into account lead times, safety stock levels, and production priorities.
- Capacity Planning : Monitor production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- ERP Utilization : Utilize ERP system (EPICOR) to generate production orders, track inventory levels, and analyze production data to support decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in production planning and scheduling processes.
- Communication : Communicate production schedules, material requirements, and any schedule changes effectively to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, procurement, and management.
- Analysis and Reporting : Analyze production data and performance metrics to assess schedule adherence, identify trends, and generate reports for management review.
- Collaboration : Collaborate closely with production supervisors, quality assurance, maintenance, and other departments to ensure alignment of production schedules with overall business objectives.
- Training and Development : Provide training and support to production planners and schedulers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience using ERP systems for production planning and materials management (EPICOR).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
