TITLE : Database Engineer with ACTIVE Top Secret security clearanceRATE RANGE : $75 / hr - $89 / hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)LOCATION : Onsite in Richardson, TX (no relocation package)DURATION : 12+ months, Contract to Hire No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies / vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED Geologics is hiring a Senior Database Engineer to support our teams in Richardson, Texas.

In this position you would be familiar with creating, updating, and managing Postgres databases and the code that interacts with them. RESPONSIBLITIES
- Identify and understand customer needs and apply sound, demonstrable understanding of database principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering to translate those needs to viable design solutions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
- Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products as part of customer-driven solutions.
- Use proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
- Obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of start. REQUIREMENTS Typically requires a Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior, relevant experience.
Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres, or related systems.Active and transferable , as only PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSecurity+ CertificationExperience troubleshooting database issues such as DR, replication & backups and other related issues.
Experience with database security controls and audit & compliance requirements.Experience with NoSQL database products such as MongoDB.
Experience with AWS services.Experience with automating routine tasks. Start Time : 12 : 00 AM EDUCATION : Bachelor Degree Required?
