Job Summary

Primary role is to run experiments, acquire and record data.

Key Duties

Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Support projects by conducting experiments, acquiring, and accurately documenting data.
  • Contribute to completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
  • Expected to grow and develop in this role and be able to draw conclusion from studies and design experiments.

Other duties as assigned :

  • Must have the ability to lift 20 pounds of supplies or finished product throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the workday
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (gloves, face shields / safety glasses, latex, or nitrile gloves, etc.).
  • Will be required to be fully gowned for performing tasks in a clean room environment
  • Must be able to adhere to applicable bio-safety practices when on the manufacturing floor or in laboratories.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, reach, push and pull throughout the course of the work shift.
  • Experiments may involve materials that are considered potentially biohazardous. Must be able to work with human substances such as blood.

Qualifications

Minimum Education or Equivalent ExperienceRequired / Preferred :

Bachelor of Science degree required.

Competencies Required or preferred :

  • Fundamental knowledge of biology and chemistry.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory skills such as buffer preparation and pipetting.
  • Ability to handle clinical samples.
  • Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab.
  • Basic computer skills such as the working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to run planned experiments under supervision.
  • Ability to discuss results from experimental data using sound scientific judgement to determine technical decisions with supervisor.
  • Ability to document experimental results to GLP / GMP standards.
