Practical Nurse Tech Rehab PRN

Position Summary :

• After completion of competency, the Practical Nurse Tech will work under the supervision of registered nurses to provide direct patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and maintain a clean and organized healthcare environment.
• This person will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong desire to contribute to the well-being of patients.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient / family needs.
• Collaborates with the patient’s designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.

Qualifications

Current student : Required current enrollment in and successful completion of the first semester of an accredited Practical Nursing Program or ;

Graduate : Has completed a program of practical nursing from an accredited organization and :

• Has applied to sit for the state licensure examination. The licensure exam must be taken within the first 90 days after graduation.
• Upon graduation, a Practical Nurse Tech may continue to be employed as a Practical Nurse Tech provided that the first licensure exam is taken within 90 days after graduation and passed within six (6) months of graduation on either the first or second attempt.
• BLS required.
