General Summary :
The PTA will provide direct treatment services under the supervision of a physical therapist following the documented patient treatment plan.
They will aid in the development / coordination of intervention plans and adapt activities according to the needs of the patient as well as appropriately document treatment services.
Main Responsibilities :
- Adheres to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice
- Participates with physical therapist in developing patient treatment plans
- Administers a variety of exercises and interventions following the documented patient treatment plan
- Observes and records the effectiveness of intervention, and document patients progress
- Proposes modification of specific intervention procedures to physical therapist
- Coordinates treatment schedule with Physical Therapist
- Explains treatment techniques to patients
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment / and equipment
- Build quality relationships with patients, physicians / providers, and co-workers
Education / Experience / Knowledge :
- Graduate of an APTA accredited school of physical therapy
- Valid PTA license
- 0-2 Years’ experience
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, theory, methods and their application in an patient centered environment
- Must possess good diagnostic and clinical skills
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
