Description
We are looking for 2 team members who are passionate about working with migrant or unaccompanied Children, Youth and Families to join the new Home Study and Post Release Services Program! The Home Study and Post Release Services are recommended to ensure that the minor and sponsor can live with one another safely and that the placement is stable when a minor is identified as having special needs, or other barriers to the reunification process.
The Bilingual Spanish - Youth and Family Specialist provides culturally sensitive intensive case management, outreach and direct services in coordination and cooperation with systems including : school personnel and educational teams, therapists, lawyers and court personnel and the general public.
The Bilingual Spanish - Youth and Family Specialist initiates creative approaches to service reunified families to work toward connection with permanent resources and long term life plans.
The perfect candidate has experience with unaccompanied minors, the foster care system, diverse population, and has excellent communication skills and follow through.
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or related field, bilingual English / Spanish required, has reliable transportation and is eager to attend trainings and acquire the LSWA certification.
