Job Description Summary
The Loan Servicing Team Lead supports the operational servicing functions of all bank locations by providing effective and efficient service to lending clients and branch associates;
acts as a team lead for the Loan Operations Loan Servicing Team by assisting with development of processes and procedures as well as the training of new associates.
Provides day-to-day direction and guidance in completing the daily processing functions including : Constructions Draws, Payoffs, Payments, Advances, Outgoing Wires and Loan Maintenance.
What You’ll Do
- Oversees day to day team tasks to ensure established turnaround times are being met.
- Assists in the training of new associates, as well as assisting existing associates with questions regarding the loan servicing process.
- Lead team in problem solving for complex issues and / or in developing new policies with supporting procedures.
- Identifies and implements process improvements and system flows to ensure work is accurate and efficiently handled to minimize errors and ensure high quality loan files.
- Assists in leading loan servicing processes, including updating and implementing new processes and procedures and establishing structure related to the loan process in accordance with various regulations.
Knowledge / Skills / Background / Experience
- Prior experience in loan operations and very good understanding of loan accounting systems and general ledger and finance interaction.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance related to lending operations, entity structures, complex collateral and payment structures;
- ability to lead and motivate team; organized and able to multi-task; excellent written and verbal communications skills;
strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities; high initiative and desire to provide excellent customer service.
- Must have significant experience with commercial loans
- Must have significant back-office loan processing experience with commercial, residential and small business loans
