The Technical Delivery Manager owns the solution delivery and is ultimately responsible for the delivery of the development, project leadership, management, quality, and timely delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities Working with the business owners and IT department to manage scope of projects from inception to closure.
Define, develop and manage implementation schedules and project budgets
Co-ordinate through the IT managers and vendors all delivery activities and acts as the escalation point for all issues specific to projects
Provide overall project leadership and direct project teams in the delivery of high-quality products within committed timeframes
Ensure build phase of projects are delivered on time and with high quality
Ensure complete understanding of the development estimate and project scope
Identify and coordinate project resources, prepare project teams for kick-off and ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and goals and mitigate risks
Ensure all assigned projects and work packages utilise IT project and information security management standards Vacancy Requirements Good IT technical experience and business analysis techniques
Practical experience of introducing new efficient processes or concepts
Project Management skills including : Scope Management, Budget Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Issue / Conflict Resolution, Communication Management, Quality Management, Testing Plans, Training Plans, Team Management.
Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle
Project planning and progress monitoring, including budget control and milestone control
Creative problem solver, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situation with professionalism
Provide leadership and direction to the delivery teams
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure work packages meet business needs building trust and confidence in IT as a supplier
Provide technical support and participate in the Change Board and / or change control process
Become the single point of contact for delivery and act as an advocate between the project teams and the stakeholders
Strong negotiation and presentation skills
