Description

Principal duties of this position will be to maintain calendars and listservs, perform routine updates to websites and databases and the research group social media, productivity and communication apps, provide logistical support for the research group and VIPER meetings and events (organizing scheduling, room requests, catering, inventory, advertising, and coordinating event logistics, including set up and clean up), provide logistical support for research workflows, including scheduling internal and external team meetings, enhancing responsiveness to collaborators, forming checklists, and reminding about progress, support the preparation of scientific grant proposals and reports, including coordinating group-wide and external teams in writing and polishing of documents, curating information, editing documents, and provide program-related support to the research group, and VIPER Directors and Managing Directors (manage calendars and appointments, make travel arrangements and submit travel reimbursements, provide administrative support as needed).

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required, and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn new computer and online tools for scheduling, productivity, document prep, graphics, social media
  • Experience with Penn travel, purchasing, budget, and administrative policies preferred.
