About the Job
The University of Minnesota, Department of Theatre Arts and Dance, has an occasional need for part-time, temporary theatre arts or dance instructors to teach day or evening classes.
This does not constitute a posting for vacancies, but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Positions may be appointed during the 2024-2025 academic year : fall semester 2024 (08 / 26 / 2024 - 01 / 08 / 2025), spring semester 2025 (01 / 09 / 2025 - 05 / 25 / 2025) or summer 2025.
Qualifications
Dance Program Teaching Specialist or Lecturer :
Required Qualifications :
BA / BFA or five years of professional experience; with experience teaching dance students, or certification in the relevant field of study.
Candidates with BA / BFA will be appointed as teaching specialists.
Preferred Qualifications :
MA / MFA or seven years professional training and / or extensive professional experience in the area of specialization. Candidates with MA / MFA will be appointed as lecturers.
Theatre Arts Programs Teaching Specialist or Lecturer :
Required Qualifications :
BA / BFA or five years of professional experience; experience teaching advanced theatre students or certification in relevant field.
Candidates with BA / BFA will be hired as teaching specialists.

MA / MFA or seven years professional training or extensive professional experience in the area of specialization. Candidates with MA / MFA will be hired as lecturers.

Home to the arts, social science and humanities disciplines and programs, the College of Liberal Arts comprises 31 academic departments, and over 20 interdisciplinary research centers and administrative / support units.
