Your Role
Warehouse Lead
Openings : 1
Shift : 2nd Shift
Hours : Monday to Friday / Weekends, 1 : 00pm to 9 : 30pm
Compensation : $24.50 per hour
As a Warehouse Lead with us, you’ll be the expert in all warehouse functions. Monitor and evaluate the performance of warehouse activities and proactively ensure employees are productive and efficient.
Ensure work equipment / tools are available and returned. Oversee the 6S and safety related functions within the facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions
- Have everyone fallowing the safety DO’s and Don’ts and stay safe
- Motivates the team to do the right thing and reports any issues to the supervisor or management team
- Leads with a positive and supportive attitude and helps to remove bottlenecks
- Assist Supervisor with day-to day task
- Trains employees to the processes and procedures
- Escalate any policy violations to the management team for further investigation
- Works with the team to complete tasks and project by set deadlines
- Promotes a safety culture with direction from the management team and escalates any safety concerns to supervisor
- Monitors inventory and daily pickup schedule to verify loads are at least 50% full. Cancel and add pickups as needed.
- Monitors customer communication lines and responds where needed in a timely manner
- Responsible for verifying Sorting, loading and put away accuracy
What We’d Like to See from You
Required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 1 years of experience in transportation, warehousing, and / or distribution environment desired
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
- Experience using ERP’s, such as Sage, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.
- Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed in order to interface and influence all levels of personnel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize daily work to meet all internal and external deadlines
- Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds
Highly Desired
- Forklift Driver and Pallet Jack operation experience
- Prior Forklift Certification with ability to be recertified
