Job Title : Sr. Software Engineer

Job Overview :

The Software Developer provides high quality application designs and code delivery for Safe-Guard. They also provide high level and detailed application designs and application code.

They own design and code quality for the assigned applications and projects and works with the rest of the team to deliver on time and high-quality results.

A top priority will be minimizing adverse impact from production incidents and building long term solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

This is a hands on role at both the design and development levels.

Job Responsibilities :

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex software applications using Angular
• Architect and implement scalable and secure solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other development teams to define and deliver new features
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
• Continuously monitor, optimize, and improve the performance of existing applications
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the use of cutting-edge solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full development stack
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in Angular , with experience in developing complex, high-performance applications
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront
• In-depth understanding of front-end and back-end development processes
• Experience with RESTful API s and integrating with third-party services
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• Proven ability to lead and manage development projects from concept to completion
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check

Preferences :

• Experience with caching optimizations and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, ECR , and ECS
• Experience with relational databases (i.e. PostgreSQL )
