Job Summary :
As a part-time welder at ChuckIt Haulers, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste-hauling equipment and vehicles.
This position requires precision and a strong commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various metals, primarily focusing on vehicle and container repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and / or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Must be knowledgeable on the use of torches in several situations.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicle modifications meet stringent safety and quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of welding equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to diagnose faults and plan effective repair strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company and OSHA safety policies.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a welder, with specific skills in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards
- Bring and maintain personal protective gear, including face-shield, gloves, and other necessary safety equipment.
- Certification in welding from an accredited institution, not required, but is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours :
This is a part-time position. Hours are flexible but primarily needed on weekdays and during regular business hours. Expect approximately 20-25 hours per week.
