Responsibilities
The Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) will :
- Conduct groups and individual sessions in the clinic setting and in the community
- Provide ongoing clinical services to assigned caseload and provide consultation for clients who may need services or are in need of short term clinical interventions
- Provide services in an evidence based manner to encourage retention in services
- Refer to additional services as appropriate.
- Function within an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality and evidenced based services
- Participate in interdisciplinary team case conferences.
- Participate in internal and external committees
- Participate in internal and external CQI projects
- Provide supervision to students based on agency need
- Perform other duties, consistent with the goals and objectives of the program, as directed by Director
Qualifications :
- CASAC, Advance CASAC, Master Level CASAC (Dual Bachelor or Masters preferred)
- Must be outcome oriented in a fast paced environment with deadlines
