Job Title : School Social Worker
Location : Maywood, IL
Job Description : Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with schools in Maywood, IL, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team.
School Social Workers play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students, families, and school communities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social work principles and be committed to helping students overcome barriers to success.
Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community agencies to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Assist in crisis intervention and response as needed.
- Advocate for students and families to ensure access to necessary resources and services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided.
Requirements :
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Social Worker endorsement.
- Clinical social work licensure (LCSW) preferred.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide professional references.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dedication to promoting the well-being and success of students and families.
