We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ConProject Manager to oversee the management of contractors, inventory, and hiring of skilled construction workers, welders, and electricians for our Free Standing Structures division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and ensuring the timely delivery of finished products, maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Contractor Management :
- Source, vet, and manage contractors for various projects
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Monitor contractor performance and address any issues promptly
- Inventory Management :
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of materials and supplies through the Purchasing Dept.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of stock ( familiarity with Fishbowl or other ERP planning software a plus)
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs
- Hiring and Staffing :
- Recruit and hire qualified construction workers, welders, and electricians
- Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and make hiring decisions
- Ensure all hires meet company standards and possess the necessary certifications and skills
- Project Scheduling and Coordination :
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to align on project timelines
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines
- Quality Control and Safety :
- Ensure all projects meet the company’s quality standards
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Delivery and Customer Satisfaction :
- Ensure the on-time delivery of finished products to clients
- Address client concerns and provide solutions to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service
Qualifications :
- Education : A bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or a related field is preferred
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry
- Skills :
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Solid understanding of construction processes and safety regulations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
Work Environment : Combination of office, managing construction activities, and on-site work.
