About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder.
Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and collect data on the progress of the child.
You will work closely with the BCBA to ensure that the therapy is effective and tailored to the child's needs. Your work will make a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.
Minimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field
- Experience implementing behavior intervention plans
- Experience collecting and analyzing data
- Experience working in a team environment
Responsibilities :
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs
- Collect data on the progress of the child
- Provide in-home ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder
- Collaborate with the BCBA to ensure that the therapy is effective and tailored to the child's needs
- Communicate and empathize with families and caregivers about the child's progress
- Attend and utilize ongoing trainings and opportunities
- Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel locally
Skills :
As a Behavior Technician, you will use your strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills on a daily basis.
You will also need to be patient, compassionate, and able to work independently. Your ability to follow instructions and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring the success of the therapy.
Additionally, your experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and knowledge of ABA principles will be essential in providing effective therapy.
The role of the ABA Therapist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is imperative to an ABA program. This person must be reliable, responsible, eager to learn, ambitious, organized and want to help families improve their quality of life.
The position requires providing in home and community-based ABA services, monitor the progress of a treatment plan by collecting data about the client's behaviors through direct observation, incorporate parent training, and meet with supervisors regularly.
The therapist will also work closely with the BCBA to update the treatment plan, assessments and skill acquisition plans.
