Boeing Government Security is currently seeking an Experienced Industrial Security Specialist to join their team in Herndon, VA.

Position Responsibilities :

• Perform compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure adherence with government and company regulations / requirements, identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action
• Conduct Administrative Inquiries (e.g., collect and analyze data, conduct interviews and write reports) on personnel, processes and situations
• Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures and assist less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls
• Develop, implement and administer an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations / requirements
• Perform Personnel Security processes (work with databases, review files, conduct interviews, submit paperwork to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances / accesses
• Develop and conduct a security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
• Perform Physical Security duties and responsibilities within the Boeing Herndon facility (e.g., complete fixed / closed facility checklists / survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

• Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
• 3+ years of experience working with National Industrial Security Programs, Special Access Programs, and Sensitive Compartmented Information programs
• A Counter Intelligence or Full Scope polygraph

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience in a role that required Project Management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Contract Program Security Officer / Facilities Security Officer (CPSO / FSO) Experience

Typical Education / Experience :

Education / experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.

g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
