Opportunity

A facilities specialist has broadresponsibility for construction, maintenance, repairs and generalupkeep of grounds, security systems, utilities, reservoirs, trails,roads, buildings, and other structures.

Specific Responsibilities

Serve as property operations / maintenance point of contact forfacilities' issues in assigned buildings, initiate work requests,monitor completion;

manage maintenance and renovations projects;coordinate and monitor routine maintenance services completion(utilities, long term preservation, inspections, grounds,landscapes, alarms & equipment), suggest metrics, monitor andreport related trends.

  • Conduct buildinginspections, document findings, and take actions as assigned.
  • Perform condition assessments on appearance,building status, equipment; identify and establish preventivemaintenance plan;

provide recommendations; coordinate, direct,inspect and approve contract work, third party vendors; identify,recommend & implement building operations & processmodifications to the facility for increased productivity and / orcost reduction, coordinate maintenance logistics (to avoid facultyconflicts, events).

Complete projectcoordination by performing the assigned tasks within departmentprojects; acting as a project coordinator / liaison;

and overseeingand executing projects (limited to small, local projects),including their organization, scheduling, budgeting, andimplementation.

  • Schedule specialized outsidecontractors for equipment preventive maintenance, and non-routinemaintenance.
  • May supervise assignedlower-level staff engaged in supporting the physical environmentand building systems.

Skills / Requirements

  • Proficient at Microsoft Products (Excel,Outlook & Word)
  • Facilities ManagementSoftware (SAP) - Highly Desired
  • Customer andPersonal Services - Knowledge of principles and processes forproviding customer and personal services. This includes customerneeds assessment, meeting quality standards for services, andevaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business andmanagement principles involved in strategic planning, resourceallocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique,production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Building and Construction - Knowledge ofBuilding envelope, materials, methods, and the tools involved inthe construction or repair of buildings, or other structures suchas elevators and roads.
  • Safety and Security -Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, andstrategies to promote effective local, state, or national securityoperations for the protection of people, data, property, andinstitutions.
  • Minimum Job Requirements
  • Pre-employment screening.
  • Proficient in Basic Math Skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver'slicense.
  • Require maintaining Motor VehicleRecord (MVR) per Kohler Co. driving guidelines
  • Work experience as a Facilities Specialist orsimilar role
  • Strong knowledge of facilitiesmanagement operations
  • Well-organized
  • Additional certification in facilitiesfunction will be a plus

PhysicalRequirements

Frequent bending,lifting, and pushing of weights up to 50 pounds.

The hourly range for this positionis $25.55 - $31.95. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidatemay be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate'sexperience, their education, and the work location.
