The Product Development Specialist will beresponsible for Research and Development of our Dietary Supplementand Sports Nutrition lines.

This position will be coordinating theproduct development process for new product formulations frominitiation to launch both internally with other departments andexternally with manufacturers and suppliers.

Thisposition is a great opportunity for a person looking to enhancetheir career in Product Development / R&D in the NaturalProducts Industry or a recent graduate with a Bachelor inNutritional Science Food Science Biochemistry or other relevantfield.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee product development of new productsthrough the product lifecycle including ideation researchingredient sourcing formulation labeling and producteducation
• Source new and innovativeingredients; review ingredients to ensure they meetspecifications
• Keep up with current industryand current market trends and apply these to development of newproducts
• Create original product concepts andpresent to executive team in a group setting
• Review and interpret scientific literature on ingredientsto guide decisions related to formulation
• Maintain professional and positive vendor relationships
• Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers ondevelopment of product formulation problem solve and contributeunique solutions when challenges arise
• Coordinate crossdepartment on product launches throughcompliance label marketing material etc.
• Review technical documentation to ensure ingredients andformula meets requirements and specifications
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and manage themthrough their life cycle from initiation to launch
• Review marketing materials for accuracy and properemphasis
• Analyze the market and createCompetitive Analysis to propose new product pricing
• Maintain electronic record with status of all conceptsand development projects
• Performs other dutiesas assigned by Manager.

REQUIREMENTS :

• 1 to 3 years experience in the naturalproducts space sports nutrition space or a relevant Associate orBachelor of Science Degree
• Project Managementskills ability to multitask and manage shiftingpriorities
• Open to collaboration with groupother perspectives and easy to work with
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong math skills
• Driven determinedenthusiastic and persistent
• Selfmotivatedability to work independently as well as in a group
• Ability to work with and adapt to changes

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read and comprehendinstructions correspondence memos and write clearly. Ability topresent oneonone and group situations.

Excellent verbalcommunication skills with phone manner of a clear conciseprofessional manner.

COMPUTERSKILLS :

• To performthis job successfully an individual should have :
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Type of minimum of 35 words per minute
• General computer email and internet knowledge
