ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in overseeing day-to-day retail operations and staff Help Store Manager recruit, train, and supervise retail staff (sales and operations)Motivate staff to meet sales targets and maintain excellent personal salesOversee stock levels Address customer complaints and issues in a professional mannerHandle staff conflicts, complaints, and problemsPrepare various promotional materials and in-store displaysEnsure compliance with various health and safety regulations Greet customers upon entranceCheck on purchase orders for customersAssess customer needs and wants;

answer customer questions and concernsProvide appropriate product recommendations by understanding the Purple products and historyEnsure merchandise is in-stock and displayed on shelves in a presentable mannerUse point of sale (POS) system to conduct purchase transactionsProcess merchandise returnsAssist in product inventory proceduresCross-sell and upsell productsMemorize in-store promotions and special offers in order to communicate to customersBuild lasting relationships with customersTeam up with co-workers to ensure customer satisfactionFollow opening and closing proceduresFind innovative ways to improve sales and boost revenue REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExcellent interpersonal communication capabilitiesCustomer service-oriented attitudeAbility to stay organized and manage time effectivelyStrengths in leadership, management, team building, and problem solvingCapability to thrive in a fast-paced and oftentimes high-pressure environmentUnderstanding of basic business management functionsEnthusiasm and a positive attitudeMinimum of high school diploma.

Bachelor’s preferred3+ years of experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory roleProven competencies in effective communication and managementWillingness to learn and tackle new challenges PREFERRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExpert knowledge of Purple’s 5 StepsExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesExcellent problem-solving abilities PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical Activities may occasionally include : ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like;

moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments; communicating with others to exchange information.

• Physical Activities may constantly include : remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods; moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another;
• adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions; In outlet or Hub locations the requirement is 80+ poundsrepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers;
• operating machinery and / or power tools, depending on position; depending on position may include operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment;
• assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.Environmental Conditions may occasionally include : low or high temperatures;
• or outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Environmental Conditions may constantly include : noisy environments;
