OVERVIEW
As a Preconstruction Project Manager , you'll lead the preconstruction phase for projects in commercial, healthcare, higher education, and municipal sectors.
You'll handle cost estimates, subcontractor selection, and project planning to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and quality goals before construction begins.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead preconstruction for commercial, healthcare, education, and municipal projects.
- Collaborate with design teams and clients to create project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare cost estimates, value engineering, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate designs for cost-saving opportunities and constructability.
- Manage subcontractor bids and contract negotiations.
- Resolve preconstruction issues with architects, engineers, and clients.
- Present preconstruction updates and ensure client alignment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and sector-specific regulations.
- Transition projects to the construction team, providing key insights.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating across commercial, healthcare, education, and municipal projects.
- Skilled in Procore, Bluebeam, and estimating software (e.g., Building Connected, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare, educational, and municipal building regulations.
- LEED AP or PMP certification is a plus.
