Full-Time Job Summary
The Trade Sales Assistant provides support to the Account Managers who oversee Barnes & Noble, BAM, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Field Sales and Canada. What You Do
Prepare seasonal sales materials for sell-in
Run and distribute weekly sales reporting
Assist in tracking orders, shipping details
Become an Edelweiss power-user (becoming the key sales tool across multiple channels) and utilize its functions to support the sales
Develop a system to more accurately order and distribute sales collateral across the trade channels
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for account previews
Access Account portals to key in new titles and deliver on title information
Support presales and sales conference
Prepare sales managers for trade shows
Track payments from and deliver production files to International publishing partners
Create monthly Library newsletter
Create regular content for Library Marketing Instagram
Create and maintain database of sales collateral
Assist on building / growing new priorities with BN publisher liaison, BN Category Managers, BDMs and Commercial Strategy team
Assist on regular Teams presentations
Assist on reporting (IM2) Knowledge & Experience
Bachelors degree preferred plus 1+ years of related experience preferred
Proven organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Microsoft Office Suite to include advanced PowerPoint and Excel required; Vista and Edelweiss desirable
Ability to work independently, calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines, within a fast moving environment
