Job Summary :

The Industrial Welder - Specialty Welding is a highly skilled welder specializing in complex welding techniques and materials.

They are responsible for joining metal components together using advanced welding methods, such as orbital welding, laser welding, or electron beam welding.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform complex welding operations using specialized welding techniques.
• Prepare metal components for welding, including cleaning and surface preparation.
• Position and align components for welding.
• Operate specialized welding equipment.
• Inspect welds for quality and defects.
• Maintain welding equipment and supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations.

Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.

Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in specialty welding.
• Proven track record of performing complex welding tasks using specialized techniques.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities :

• Strong knowledge of specialty welding techniques and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
• Ability to operate specialized welding equipment accurately.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to inspect welds for quality and defects.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Location and Travel :

Lakeland, FL

Work environment :

• Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• May be exposed to noise, dust, and fumes.
• May work in a standing position for extended periods.

Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl : People in this position frequently need to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.

See : Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Carry, weight, Lift : The person in this position occasionally be able to lift and carry up to 100lbs.

Exposure to work : Considerable time will be spent in processing environments both in and outdoors. Environments can be loud, dusty, hot, or cold.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
